• Moving is a great chance to organize your belongings and get rid of items you no longer use. You can have a garage sale or donate them to the less fortunate.
  • A few weeks before you start packing, grab a few boxes from the grocery store or LCBO each time your there
  • Keep one box aside of "essentials" that you'll need on moving day (cleaning supplies, garbage bags, etc.)
  • Don't leave anything to last minute, create a countdown list and itemize everything you need to accomplish week by week.
  • Label all boxes at least twice once on the top and a side so whomever is carrying them can get them to the proper room.
  • If your getting new furniture delivered make sure it doesn't overlap with your moving time and create congestion.
  • Avoid packing in garbage bags
  • Make an inventory list, this will help you make sure everything that was suppose to be moved was moved.
  • Pack an overnight bag, chances are after a long day of moving the last thing you'll want to do is search through boxes for a toothbrush.
  • Avoid food waste, stop doing large grocery runs a few weeks before your moving date.  This will ensure your not throwing out a lot of food when moving day comes.
  • Before you take apart your electronics take pictures of the back so you know witch wires go where.
